“도서관을 자기 집처럼 느끼지 못하는, 멀고 낯선 이웃들과도 지속적인 관계를 맺을 수 있을까?” 이 질문은 자연스럽게 또 다른 질문으로 이어졌습니다. “물리적인 경계나 공간은 관계 맺기에 있어서 얼마나 중요한가?” Los Cacharreros는 잡동사니 장수를 뜻하는 스페인어로, 잡동사니 장수는 마을을 떠돌며 집집마다 소식을 전파하는 몫을 했습니다. 그 때문에 자잘한 이야깃거리도 그저 지나치지 않는 사람을 '참견쟁이', '오지랖 부리는 사람'이라는 뜻으로 'Los cacharreros'라고 부르기도 했습니다. 현대적 감각에서 해석하면, 'Los Cacharreros'는 이웃에게 먼저 다가가고, 말을 걸고, 사람들을 서로 연결하는 일이 환대와 사회적 포용의 중요한 실천이 될 수 있음을 보여줍니다.  〈Los Cacharreros〉는 도서관이 지녀야 할 오지랖,  곧 이웃에게 먼저 안부를 묻고 관계를 이어가는 환대의 감각을 담은 컬렉션입니다. 2026 NEXT LIBRARY Satellite Seoul의 세션 〈Constellation of Library〉에서 참여자들과 함께 만든 공동 컬렉션입니다. 2026 부산 세계도서관정보대회 (IFLA WLIC 2026) 〈Collection Busking: Threads Across the World〉에서 전 세계 사람들을 만났습니다.    “Is it possible to build lasting relationships even with distant, unfamiliar neighbors—those who do not feel at home in the library?” This question naturally led us to another one: “Are physical borders or spaces really that important?” We came to agree that what truly matters is a mindset that nurtures and sustains curiosity, and we gathered our materials from that perspective. Los Cacharreros is a Spanish word meaning “junk dealers” or “tinkers.” Traditionally, these traveling dealers moved from village to village, carrying small goods and sharing news from house to house. Over time, the term also came to refer to people who do not simply pass by small stories—those sometimes seen as “meddlers” or “nosy people.” In a contemporary sense, Los Cacharreros can be understood as a form of hospitality: the practice of reaching out first, starting conversations, and connecting people with one another as an act of social inclusion. 〈Los Cacharreros〉 is a collection that reflects the kind of “benevolent nosiness” a library might need: the willingness to ask after neighbors first, notice small stories, and keep relationships alive. This collection was co-created with participants during the 〈Constellation of Library〉 session at NEXT LIBRARY Satellite Seoul 2026 and at 〈Collection Busking: Threads Across the World〉 during IFLA WLIC 2026 in Busan.

비에 지지 않고 : 미야자와 겐지 컬렉션 100년 전, 미야자와 겐지는 인간만이 아닌 모든 존재가 함께 살아가는 세계를 이야기했습니다. 자연과 인간의 관계, 작은 존재들에 대한 애정, 생명의 연결성과 공생의 가치를 담은 이야기들은 오늘날 읽어도 놀라울 만큼 새롭고 깊은 울림을 전합니다. 한 세기를 건너온 그의 작품 세계를 함께 만나봅니다.

"도서관은 정말 모두를 포용하고 있는가?" 이주배경가정, 거리의 노숙자나 매일 오가는 택배 기사 등,  우리 곁에 있는데 도서관을 이용하지 못하는 누군가를 떠올려봅니다. '모두를 위한 도서관' 이라고 하지만, 여전히 누군가에게는 '보이지 않는 문턱'이 존재한 공간이 아니었을까요? 그 모든 문턱과 장벽을 깨부수자는 마음을 담아 <Crush Crush>(뿌셔뿌셔)라는 제목을 붙였습니다. - 2026 NEXT LIBRARY Satellite Seoul의 세션〈Constellation of Library〉에서 참여자들과 함께 만든 공동 컬렉션입니다.   "Is the library truly inclusive of everyone?" This collection was created to look back at those who are right beside us but unable to use the library, such as multicultural families, the homeless on the streets, and the delivery drivers who visit every day.  We always say 'a library for everyone,' yet hasn't it still been a space with 'unseen thresholds' for some? With the determination to break down all those thresholds and barriers, we named this collection <Crush Crush>. - This collection was co-created with participants during the “Constellation of Library” session at NEXT LIBRARY Satellite Seoul 2026.

'도서관'하면 어떤 모습이 떠오르나요? 집중하여 책을 읽는 사람들, 삼삼오오 모여 대화하거나 책을 읽는 모임도 있고, 뚝딱뚝딱 무언가 새로운 것을 만드는 풍경도 볼 수 있죠. 도서관은 오늘도 끊임없이 움직이고 변화합니다. 마치 살아있는 것처럼요. 다양한 가능성이 있는 역동적인 곳, 도서관의 힘을 담은 자료를 모았습니다.

손바닥만큼의 땅이라도, 갈라진 콘크리트 틈 사이라도 여지없이 뿌리를 내리고 꽃을 피우는 들꽃이 있지요. 들꽃처럼 단단히 뿌리내리고 이 땅을 지탱하고 있는 '사람들'의 이야기를 모았습니다.

그림책과 아동문학에서 떠나간 이를 애도하고 추억하는 방식은 무척 다양합니다.  『내 작은 친구, 머핀!』의 장례식장에서 아이들은 알고 있는 유일한 노래인 '생일 축하합니다'를 부르며 슬퍼하고,  『오소리 아저씨의 소중한 선물』에서 숲 속 친구들은 함께 모여 아저씨가 자신에게 남긴 추억을 풀어놓지요. 삶과 죽음, 먼저 떠나간 이들을 각자 다른 방식으로 기억하는 이야기를 모았습니다. 

이런 건 누구한테 물어보나요?

부동산, 주식, 적금, 구청 민원업무, 계약서 등... 처음 내딛는 어른의 세계는 지도 없는 미로처럼 막막하게 느껴지곤 합니다. 계약서 보는 법부터 어려운 경제용어까지 이제는 알아야 하지만 어렵게 다가오는, 직접 부딪히거나 겪으며 배워야 할 것들이 너무나 많습니다.  서툰 첫 걸음이 무사히 내일로 이어질 수 있도록 안내서 같은 자료를 모았습니다. - 근로계약서는 어떻게 작성하나요? - 저축은 어떻게 시작해야 하나요? - 집 계약 전에 어떤걸 살펴봐야하나요? - 적금과 예금의 차이가 무엇인가요? - 첫 월급, 어떻게 쪼개서 관리해야 하나요? - 주식투자는 어떻게 시작하나요? - 계약이 끝날 때 보증금을 안전하게 돌려받으려면 어떻게 해야하나요? - 수습 기간에는 월급을 다 못 받는게 맞나요? - 4대 보험이 꼭 가입되어야 하나요?
